Valentine's Day

Makayla was asked by her teacher to create her own box and bring it into school for Valentine's Day next week. Gotta say... we are pretty proud of our girl! (I only helped with the "M")

I am SO happy with the turn out, I wish I knew about this for Makayla and Owen, it's a TON of fun!!

New Discovery's

Yesterday Mimi and I decided to check out the new Fresh Market across from the med center. Turns out, it's the perfect place for us! After falling in love with the orchids in the entrance we were enticed with and Aura apple and had to add them to our cart. A short distance later I had chicken pot pie in my cart along with a fruit tart and so many dinner ideas it was hard to keep track. After grabbing some pot stickers and a taste of the most amazing chicken salad behind glass we grabbed a couple of our usual health food store items and called our first trip a success.

So far, my kids love this new discovery. Owen scarfed down the chicken pot pie last night and opted for 5 pot stickers tonight rather than mommy's favorite mac and cheese (made as a back up plan). Makayla, though still a mac and cheese fan (I put bacon on it for her) loved the dumplings as well and agreed we should do that again. Look out Mexican night, Chinese is taking over.

In other news, Tori is getting more and more active. I've been able to sleep through the night without any problem, not something I could do with Owen for those that don't remember. I think my girls are kinder to my body than my boy haha. So far we're still on target for May 13th. My next appointment is the 25th which will be the nasty sugar test. yay.

Jon starts his class tonight and is pretty pumped to be back in school with a new focus. All who know him would have to agree he's headed toward a fitting career.
